Stone Mountain Lodge was one of many businesses and homes affected by the Colorado floods. We’ve been thinking about the people, homes, and businesses affected and in some cases destroyed because of the water. Please keep this family owned business in your thoughts and prayers. It is nestled at the base of the mountains outside of Lyons, Colorado. In light of Stephanie and Barrett’s anniversary this month, I thought I would share this beautiful place with you.
My friend, Sarah, started a Facebook page called Save My Colorado Wedding as soon as the devastation became more clear and she realized that couples may need help with their weddings. She was overwhelmed with calls and inquiries from couples seeking help in finding new venues and vendors for their displaced weddings because of the floods and roads. Several of us in the wedding industry jumped in to help her make calls to available venues, set up databases, and re-plan weddings in some cases within a day. So many generously offered their services and spaces. I’m so glad to be a part of such a giving and helpful network of wedding industry professionals here in Colorado.
Their wedding was certainly a family affair with a lot of natural details and colors of fall. Their son preceded her down the aisle in a sweet red wagon. Many thanks to Beth from Beth Bruno Photography for helping me to capture the day. Happy Anniversary Stephanie and Barrett! May you have many years of love and happiness together.
